It's back to school time again. Are you ready to meet the big yellow bus on our busy streets?

Let's put child safety first. And let's remember these 3 tips for back to school bus safety.

What can every driver do to keep our kids safe?

1.        Slow Down

Speed is the number one killer on our roads. Prepare for reduced speed in school zones, near playgrounds and  in our community safety zones. A child's life is always worth taking those few extra minutes behind the wheel;

2.        Hard Stop

Cars traveling in both directions must stop for a school bus when it's lights are flashing. If you blow by that bus, you face fines, demerit points and possibly higher insurance premiums. But the bottom line is always child safety. Nothing is worth risking the life of a child; and   

3.        Put Down the Phone

Just drive. Distracted driving kills. Driving is our only job. Everything and everyone else must wait.

Back to school bus safety should be simple. We don't need fancy to get the message out.

Nothing is more important than a child's safety.
